Does cats really have 9 lives?

Does cats really have 9 lives?

We often hear from various sources: cats have 9 lives. There are many stories and legends about the nine Lives of cats around the world, and in fact, the people of the Meow are given 9 lives, due to their ability to jump and land.
Cats, belong to the cat family, the separation of cats, Wildcat, is the world's more extensive family pets. The ancestors of the home cat were presumably descended from ancient Egyptian desert cats, Persian Persian Cats, which have been domesticated for 3,500 of years (but not as completely domesticated as dogs).
General Cat: Head round, face short, forelegs fingers, hind limbs four toes, toe end with sharp and curved claw, claw can telescopic. Nocturnal.
Hunting other animals in ambush, mostly climbing up trees. The cat's toe has a fat pad, so as not to make a sound when walking, and not to scare the mouse when hunting. The claws are in a shrinking state, preventing the claws from being blunted and sticking out when catching mice and climbing.

Although the cat can be adjusted to minimize injury. But it doesn't mean you won't fall. If the height of the fall is too low, the cat is too late to adjust, too high, the impact is too large, will still be injured. So sometimes the cat jumped off the 7 floor and died, but it was OK to fall from the 16 floor.
